Building the capability of my HR function

CIPD has invested in significant research which clearly articulates what great HR looks like, and what HR needs to do to deliver sustained organisation performance, both now and in the future. The result of this research is the CIPD's Profession Map. The Map was developed by HR practitioners for HR practitioners. It was created by both specialists and generalists, working in the UK and globally, across the private sector (large and SME) public and third sectors. Its architecture is simple and flexible - it includes ten professional areas, eight behaviours and four bands/transitions. The Map coupled with CIPD’s qualifications, membership, HR resources and face to face networks will provide you with the knowledge, skills and tools to deliver sustained business success within your organisation. The Profession Map can be used by individuals and by organisations.
