I was just wondering what other organisations use as a criteria for enhanced DBS checking on newly recruited employees?

I'm no expert on the DBS system, as I'm in Scotland where different arrangements apply, but it seems from the DBS website that the criteria are quite specific:
In relation to the regulated activity test that applies to checks that include the lists of individuals barred from specific work, the details are here:
If after reading all of this I was still unsure what type of check was appropriate to a particular post, I would seek guidance from DBS itself.
