I've recently joined the board of directors of a charity, having been recruited for my HR background.

I'm intending - at the request of the chair - to look at a way of capturing the skills and experience of board members and identifying where we need to develop, individually and as a group.  I have been looking for some kind of skills framework, or an existing questionnaire, aimed at charity trustees, but before I get stuck into developing something, it would be really useful to hear from anyone that has worked on anything similar.
