The National CIPD PACE awards were anounced by Karen MacMillan CIPD branch development director and certificates were presented by CIPD Chief executive Peter Cheese in front of a sell out conference dinner.

About us

The primary purpose of our branch is to promote and champion the objects of the CIPD Institute and to act as a channel to ensure that local CIPD members are given opportunities to network with colleagues, continue with their professional development and remain up to date with evolving HR issues.

As ever, the branch committee is working hard to continue to provide a diverse and comprehensive schedule of free and paid events for members, enabling us all to share the benefit and expertise of a range of high profile speakers and leaders in our profession. Our full events programme is available by clicking on 'Events' in the right hand menu of the site. This section is updated on a regular basis so please do check regularly and keep up to date with changes and additions.

We are an active branch with 1,150 members. We believe you can benefit most from your membership by being actively involved with the branch activities. This may be through attending events, contributing to our newsletters, participating in our on- line discussions or by becoming a friend of the committee. Whatever level of involvement you are able to have, we have no doubt you will find it both valuable and enjoyable.

We are very keen to ensure that our branch programme remains up to date and relevant to you. Please do keep in touch with either myself or any of the committee members – all our details can be found by clicking on 'Contact us' in the right hand menu – and let us have your comments about any past events and even better, suggestions for future events.
