About this download

Workplace health and well-being has risen sharply up the public policy agenda over the past decade. This report reviews the extent to which well-being considerations are integrated into UK organisations and highlights future priorities for the HR profession. It looks at how the changing nature of work, the workforce and the workplace is making a focus on individual well-being even more critical to broader organisational health and well-being.

Content of the report:
  • Introduction
  • From 'health and safety' to holistic health and well-being in the workplace
  • The business case: more compelling but not enough resonance?
  • What does a healthy workplace look like?
  • The wider policy landscape for health and well-being at work
  • Progressing the health and well-being agenda

"As well as benefiting employees, an integrated approach to health and well-being can nurture
heightened levels of employee engagement and foster a workforce where people
are committed to achieving organisational success."
