Increasing your bargaining power

Negotiating involves trading: swapping something you have that the other party wants for something the other party has that you want. You can negotiate about a huge range of things – price, quantity, quality, deadlines, volume of work, work allocation, your neighbour’s garden bonfire, and so on. One thing, however, is a constant: the greater your bargaining power, the better you trade. This tool helps participants to understand the principles that will enable them to increase their bargaining power in almost any situation.
