Ending presentations on a high point

Last Published  01 August 2012

Most learners will appreciate the importance of a strong introduction, in order to capture the attention of their audience. An under-emphasised issue is the need to end the presentation strongly to ensure that the objectives of the presentation are met and to encourage further engagement with the audience. This will be particularly important where the presentation is building a business case or pitch where the presentation needs to support a relationship-building process.

This tool will help learners put together strong presentation conclusions and advises them on how to deal with questions that may be posed at the end of a presentation.

Tool aims
  • To reflect on the importance of a strong end to presentations
  • To consider different approaches that can be used to conclude presentations
  • To outline strategies for dealing with questions from the audience.
