Structuring presentations effectively

This is an essential tool which will help learners to understand the importance of using appropriate structures when they are putting presentations together.

Working through the information provided on the handouts and via the activities will help them to identify the importance of a strong introduction and how they can achieve this. Learners will explore how to identify and position their core messages for maximum impact so that the audience members will recognise and remember them. Finally, the learners will review strategies for ending their presentations on a high note.

Tool aims
  • To outline the different structures that can be used in effective presentations
  • To understand the importance of a strong introduction and how to design one
  • To identify core messages and how to position them within presentations
  • To gain an appreciation of how to design presentations so that they end with powerful (and relevant) conclusions.
