This tool provides an overview of the sorts of challenges that can occur during training. It then goes on to explore the practical steps that trainers can take to prevent challenges through thorough preparation. This tool also explores steps to staying calm under pressure and coping when things go wrong unexpectedly.

There are also four further tools in this section, which address other specific challenges in detail. These are challenging behaviours from participants, different participant skills levels, dealing with timing issues and successfully handling your own nerves.

Who this tool is for:
This tool is for new and inexperienced trainers to help them take preventative measures to avoid challenges arising and cope when they do arise.
