It is in the organisation's interest to be able to support its employees so that they can return to work as soon as is practicable.

This tool provides details on how to maintain contact with employees and how to communicate in a way that is appropriate to the circumstances. It also outlines the benefits of early interventions, such as physiotherapy in the case of back pain or counselling where stress has led to absence.
