This tool is a short self-reflection exercise that challenges managers to adopt more of a coaching style of communication in three common situations.
Using the tool will enable a greater understanding of coaching, provide a dialogue with others about the value of a more coaching approach to communications, and create a brief plan to apply a different style to three situations:
- responding to common requests
- setting targets/delegating tasks
- running a team meeting
- To help managers understand what is meant by 'a coaching style'
- To challenge managers to practise applying more of a coaching style to three common situations.
