This tool is based on a self-assessment questionnaire that enables the manager to reflect on their own view of how well they exhibits 18 of the behaviours inherent in communicating effectively. There is also the option for obtaining feedback from others against the same 18 behaviours by using a complementary questionnaire designed to obtain the views of others.
This activity would be ideal for use as a precursor to a training or coaching initiative. It could also be useful to help new managers to prioritise their development needs.
