Why everyone should be bothered by performance problems

If organisations want to succeed at the highest levels, they have to become more successful at managing performance and, in particular, managing performance problems. Why? Competition, stakeholders' expectations and change have never been greater. This has long been true in the private sector and now is also true for organisations working in the public sector. They are competing against each other for resources and have to be credible at managing performance.
