We all, from time to time, have unrealistic expectations of both the people we manage and the people who manage us. These are often unspoken and unexplored, which can lead to a feeling of grievance that people are not behaving in the way we expect them to. The first half of this Tool looks at unrealistic expectations and the second half encourages the group to share their realistic expectations of each other and their manager and measure how they are performing against these expectations. This tool can be used by the manager and remote team members when they are starting to work together, or at a team meeting.
