Creating qualitative measures

This tool involves a structured discussion between a manager and a team member aimed at creating measures of success for those objectives that are difficult to measure.

Tool aims
  • To create effective measures for objectives that are difficult to measure using numbers.
  • To help managers develop a common understanding of exactly what is meant by these less tangible aspects of individual and team performance.
  • To provide a way of achieving the above that involves the team and generates commitment.
