Designing an appraisal process to fit your organisation

If your approach to redesigning your appraisal system is to cut and paste the documentation of household-name companies, you are probably making the mistake of assuming that what works for one organisation will work for another - even though your organisation might be in a different sector or at a different stage of development, might employ different sorts of people and might have different employment policies.

Tool aim
  • To help participants consider the characteristics of their organisation and the way those characteristics need to be reflected in the design of their appraisal process. It will be particularly appropriate for an HR 'away day' or similar event.
