Feedback is essential. Without it, learning and, hence, performance improvement cannot take place. It is a vital part of the performance management and appraisal process. It is also its weakest link. In this tool, therefore, participants have an opportunity to practise giving performance feedback and to receive feedback themselves, enabling them to improve this vital skill. The method used is observed role-play.
